Freeze-Dried Treats

Freeze Drying is a process that removes 99.9% of all water content. Fruit and vegetables will retain their shape, color, flavor and nutritional value. Unlike dehydration, which tends to alter the food during its drying process. Freeze-dried food when properly stored could potentially last up to 25 years. There is little water content in candy, by warming the candy, then applying a vacuum to it, changes the structure of the product and alters it from chewy or hard, to a light and crunchy texture. Fruit for example, will weigh far less when done. A half pound of strawberries will be reduced to about .5 ounces. Candy however, typically will not change in weight, but in size and structure. If you have never tried Freeze-Dried products before, you're missing out.

Strawberry Chips

Fresh Strawberries are washed, sliced and then laid out on the trays. Once placed in the freeze dryer it takes approximately 36-48 hours to complete the cycle.

Banana Treats

Fresh Bananas are sliced and laid out on the trays individually. The freeze-dry process takes about 48 hours to complete.

Pineapple Wedges

Fresh Pineapples are trimmed, cored and cut into wedges. These wedges must be placed separately on the trays for them to dry properly. The process takes 48+ hours.

Pink Lady Fries

Fresh Apples are washed, dried pressed through a french fry slicer. The fries are spread out on the trays and placed in the freeze-drier. They take 30-40 hours to process.

Rainbow Blast

Rainbow Blast are Skittles processed in the freeze-drier. Warming them and then applying a vacuum has the effect of making them pop and altering them to a crunchy state. An instant flavor blast.

Rainbow Berrys

These are the same as regular Skittles except that these are made from Wildberry Skittles.

Stardust

Stardust are made from Starburst mini's. These little delights are puffed up and crunchy immediately crumbling into dust.

Taffy Crisp

Laffy Taffy made crunchy. These ultra-light bites size pieces will delight anyone that loves taffy.
